Evan Martin - Bar Consultant / Mixologist

Evan Martin brings his signature flair to the Key Restaurant Group team. A Bar Smarts and Hospitality Management graduate, the former Beverage Director, General Manager, Bar Manager, and self-described “mixology expert” has become a public figure within the Seattle, Washington bar scene over the past 10 years.

Evan has spent the last 7 years in a consulting role – “developing, tasting, learning, and teaching” the art of the cocktail. He truly understands the relationships between sweet, sour, bitter and booze in a variety of vibrant presentations. It doesn’t stop with just mixology – Evan also brings in-depth knowledge of beer, wine, and cafe related beverage programs in addition to the requirements for design & ergonomics found behind the bar.

He’s also making quite a name for himself outside of the Seattle region. Evan’s been featured in publications including the New Orleans Culinary Concierge, Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, Sommelier Journal, Tasting Panel, Southwest Airlines Magazine, Gayot, Thrillist, and Inside F&B brands.

He was also awarded the “Official Drink” of the 2010 Tales of the Cocktail Event in New Orleans, LA with the original drink “Death in the South Pacific” while being the Finalist in competitions such as the “Ultimate Cocktail for a Cure” and the “Great American Distiller’s Festival” and being named one of the “Top 100 Mixologists Internationally” .

Evan’s plan for clients in both the US and Canadian markets is to engage guests with a carefully crafted bar & beverage program that includes the development of unique cocktail recipes through research & development. In addition, he can provide valuable guidance in bar & equipment design, sourcing of specialized ingredients, bar related cost control, and establishing the best bar and FOH team possible!
